Current Priority: 2026 Field Research Season
We are currently seeking support for our August–September 2026 field research season in south-western Kyrgyzstan.
The planned field activities will focus on the research of agricultural landscapes, settlement patterns, water management and environmental context, as well as evidence of production activities, including possible traces of iron production and processing. The project aims to better understand how local communities used, transformed and organised the landscape over time.
Your support will help cover field documentation, archaeological and environmental research, technical equipment, logistics, student participation, data processing and the preparation of scientific and public outreach outputs.
Supporting the 2026 field season means directly contributing to the research, documentation and protection of Central Asia’s cultural heritage.

CARS – Central Asian Research Society is an independent scholarly association focused on the research, documentation and protection of the cultural heritage of Central Asia.

Tax Benefits
Support for the activities of the CARS association may, subject to statutory conditions, be claimed as a gratuitous contribution reducing the tax base (Czech Republic – Section 20(8) of Act No. 586/1992 Coll.).
After receiving a donation, the association issues a donation receipt for tax purposes.
