The Central Asia Research Society (CARS) is an international non-governmental, non-profit organization that brings together professionals and those interested in the research, popularization, and development of the region historically known as Turkestan. Its members include individuals and organizations whose focus is on archaeology, history, natural science, and geography. The association supports interdisciplinary cooperation, professional education, research projects and awareness-raising in the field of cultural heritage protection.
